Gait Training

  • Gaiting training is a type of physical therapy that helps people improve their ability to stand and walk. This type of training is recommended to individuals after an illness or injury to help them regain strength in order to regain independence in walking. Adaptive devices are sometimes incorporated when needed. Gait training helps develop muscle memory, improves balance, strengthen muscles and joints, builds endurance, and help the individual retrain the legs for repetitive locomotion.
